Patio Installation

Large-format porcelain and stone patios, laid to falls

A porcelain patio looks effortless when it’s done right and obvious when it isn’t — the joints have to line through, the falls have to carry water away, and the base has to be right or the slabs rock and crack.

We lay large-format porcelain and stone patios, including 600×900 mm slabs, on a properly prepared base, set to falls with a drainage channel where needed. One customer’s 100 sqm porcelain patio was carried out alongside Tobermore garden walling — “efficiently and to a very high standard.”

Patio Installation

Set out and laid to falls

The slabs are set out so full pieces land where the eye falls, laid on a full mortar bed with consistent joints, and set to a gentle fall so water runs to the drainage rather than pooling on the surface.

Porcelain, stone & Tobermore
